Big names that have fallen at the ballot so far

Some of the politicians who have been floored.

As Kenyans anxiously wait for IEBC to declare Kenya's fifth president, several political big wigs are scratching their heads after losing their seats.

They include Deputy Speaker in the 12th Parliament Moses Cheboi who was defending the Kuresoi North seat as an independent candidate, Jeremiah Kioni who was defending the Ndaragwa MP on a Jubilee ticket and Alfred Keter for Nandi Hills as an independent.

Moses Kuria who was eying the Kiambu governorship on a Chama cha Kazi ticket was also floored.

Others are outgoing Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong who was contesting for the Teso South parliamentary seat on an ODM ticket.

Former Nyeri County Woman Rep Priscilla Nyokabi was contesting for Senate seat on a Jubilee ticket but she was floored.

Jimmy Angweny was eying the Kitutu Chache North on a Jubilee ticket, Wafula Wamunyinyi was defending the Kanduyi Parliamentary seat of DAP-K, Eseli Simiyu (Tongaren) DAP-K, Amos Kimunya (Kipipiri) Jubilee, Naomi Shaban (Taveta) Jubilee, Kabando Wa Kabando (Nyeri) Narc Kenya and Jonah Mburu (Lari) Jubilee.

In Wajir County, provisional results indicate all the incumbent six MPs were floored.

They are Mohamud Oomar of Wajir South, Ahmed Bashane, of Tarbaj, Ahmed Abdisalan of Wajir North, Ahmed Kholosh of Wajir West, Rashid Kassim of Wajir East and Adan Keynan of Eldas.

In Nairobi, Bernard Okoth, a first-time MP who was defending the Kibra constituency seat as an independent candidate is among those who have been floored.
