Guardian Angel bus plunges into a river in Kisii, passengers injured

A Guardian Angel bus that was heading to Migori from Nairobi plunged into River Nyakomisaro in Nyambera, Kisii County in the wee hours of Saturday morning, November 26.
The bus had 20 passengers on board during the accident.
Police said 19 people sustained minor to moderate injuries in the crash, and were taken to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital where they are receiving treatment.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the bus's braking system failed, resulting in the vehicle hurtling into the river after being hit from the rear by a lorry at 4am.
Kisii County Police Commander Meshack Mutungi told The Standard that the wreckages of both vehicles were towed to Nyanchwa Police Station.
