Morgan Heritage, a renowned reggae band that has captivated audiences worldwide, boasts a legacy enriched by its two-time Grammy-award-winning status.

Founded in 1994 in Brooklyn, New York, by the talented Morgan siblings, the band traces its roots back to Jamaica, their home country, following their early success.

This move back home came after the release of their debut album, "Miracle," marking the beginning of a significant journey in reggae music.

The band was formed by five children of the legendary reggae musician Denroy Morgan, which is reflected in the band's name, Morgan Heritage. The original lineup consisted of:

Peter "Peetah" Morgan whose vocals have been a defining element of the band's sound. Peetah's contributions as the lead singer were central to Morgan Heritage's identity. His recent passing at the age of 46 is a profound loss for the band and the reggae community at large.

Una Morgan shines in her dual role as a vocalist and keyboardist. Known as the 'first lady' of Morgan Heritage, Una's musical talents and stage presence have greatly contributed to the band's success. Recently, Una has been inactive in the band, but her legacy within Morgan Heritage remains significant.

Roy "Gramps" Morgan is not only recognized for his rich vocals and keyboard skills but also for his role as the CEO of Dada Son Entertainment. Gramps has ventured into a solo career as well, with the release of his debut album, "Two Sides of My Heart."

Nakhamyah "Lukes" Morgan, the band's rhythm guitarist, provides the reggae grooves that are foundational to Morgan Heritage's music. Like Una, Lukes has also been inactive in the band for some time.

Memmalatel "Mr. Mojo" Morgan brings his unique energy to the band with vocals and percussion. His dynamic performances add a vibrant layer to Morgan Heritage's live shows and recordings.

The loss of Peter Morgan marks a new chapter for Morgan Heritage, which now continues with four members. Despite the changes in the lineup and the individual paths taken by its members, Morgan Heritage's commitment to reggae music remains unwavering.
