In a remarkable season of Poland's beloved singing competition, The Voice of Poland, Becky Sangolo, a Kenyan talent, secured her place among the top three finalists.

The gripping season came to a close with the crowning of Jan Gorka as the winner, marking a historic first victory for coach Lanberry.

Becky's journey in the competition has been a testament to her vocal prowess and determination. Hailing from Kenya, her venture into the European music scene has been nothing short of a whirlwind.

Her participation and exceptional performances on The Voice of Poland underscored her talent, earning her admiration and a dedicated fan base.

The fourteenth season of The Voice of Poland commenced on September 2, 2023, with a panel of coaches featuring Tomson, Baron, Justyna Steczkowska, Marek Piekarczyk, and Lanberry.

Becky found herself under the mentorship of Tomson and Baron, making her mark with each stage of the competition.

The grueling rounds, from the Blind Auditions to the intense Battles, showcased Becky's versatility and vocal range.

With the competition's distinctive changes in rules, where coaches had to form trios instead of duos during the Battles, Becky navigated the challenges with finesse, consistently impressing the audience and judges alike.

Her exceptional performances led her to secure a spot in the finals, a testament to her resilience and dedication to her craft. Speaking about her experience on KTN's Globe Traktion show with Persil Telewa, Becky highlighted the invaluable lessons learned, emphasizing the importance of seizing opportunities without overthinking.

"When you want to do something, just do it, Don't overthink it. What do you want in the end? It's about you. If you want to do something, really just go. Just make the step and do it."

For Becky, this journey signified more than a competition. It symbolized an opportunity to represent her Kenyan roots on a global stage, transcending borders and cultures with her music.

Her aspirations extend far beyond the competition, as Becky aims to take her music international.

"Now it's the time, and I'm ready to go," she expressed. "This is my goal. So, if you want to do something, just go. Trust me, it will flow. Even if it doesn't work, you will have experience, and you will learn."

Her venture from Kenya to Poland has not only been about music but also about adaptation and resilience in a new environment.

The challenges of being away from home for two years have been daunting, but Becky has embraced the experience, drawing strength from her husband and the support of her fans.

Becky's stellar performances, unwavering determination, and a powerful voice have made her a sensation in Poland and beyond.

The attention and support she's received have been overwhelming. "It makes me feel supported, motivated," Becky told Persil in the interview.

Her husband, Bartlomiej Lopata's support has been a pillar, accompanying her backstage, cheering her on.

"It was weird coming here because I never lived in a different country ever in my life," Becky confessed.

The adjustment to a new culture, weather, and language was challenging, yet rewarding.

Her music career growth in Poland has been a highlight.

"It doesn't happen like that, you know. You work so hard for many years," Becky said, emphasizing the hard work it took to build her career from scratch.

As she ventures into solo projects, Becky remains supportive of fellow artists, especially those back home.

She remains eager to inspire others to pursue music careers. "Leave your dream. Don't think about what people will say. Just try," she encourages.

Becky's future plans are ambitious - taking her music internationally. "I want to show people what I have, my talent, my African touch," she expressed enthusiastically.

Despite being miles away from Kenya, Becky has maintained a strong connection to her roots. "Of course, it's in my blood," she affirmed, never forgetting her Kenyan identity.

Her new single "Call Me" speaks of hopefulness, sending a message that there's still a chance even after things seem to end. She eagerly sang a few lines during the interview, showcasing her talent and passion.

Becky's success in The Voice of Poland has propelled her closer to her dreams of becoming an international music icon, solidifying her as a rising star to watch in the global music arena.
