Days after a section of Kenyans came out to air their disgruntlement with a phone shop that supposedly sold refurbished gadgets at the price of new ones, former Starehe MP Jaguar has come out to address the matter.

Through a post, the Kigeugeu singer took full responsibility for the happenings, vowing to put in place a new team to handle customer queries.

"As the director of @iphone_streetkenya, it is quite unfortunate that some of our clients have experienced dissatisfaction.

"I have taken a personal initiative and take full responsibility for what happened. I commit to put in place a new customer service team for clear product information and dispute resolution to mitigate any issues moving forward," he wrote.

Trouble started when one internet user highlighted the problems he faced with a gadget he had purchased at the store as new.

He claimed that the iPhone 13 he was using lost charge quickly and upon digging deeper, he discovered that the device was originally sold by Apple and the colour was [Front Black, Rear (Product) Red] but was now packaged into a starlight.

According to its verification report, the phone's battery had been charged 645 times yet the owner only charged it once per day for the past two months.

iPhone Street Kenya, on their part, issued a statement acknowledging disgruntlement among some of their clients.

"We are currently in the process of setting up a dedicated hotline to ensure that your future interactions with us are quicker and more efficient.

"We have contacted the affected clients to come up with the best solution that guarantees their satisfaction," read the statement in part.

Online, many asked whether they would be compensated and put Jaguar to task.

LindaOnyango: They don't tell u it's refurbished phone ,then when u go back it's spoilt they ignore u ,I was so disappointed.

VickieNjoroge: Swali ni will all the people sold refurbished phones disguised as new be compansated? Whether new phones that they paid for or refunded cash?!
