Kenyan businesswoman Sofire has set the record straight regarding her alleged relationship with dancer David Moya.

Speaking to local bloggers, Sofire's spokesperson Cassypool said the two (Sofire and David) are business partners and it was a coincidence that the end of their contract coincided with David's plan to sell his spa.

"David is a friend and Sofire's business partner. They worked together and their contract ended. The rumours circulating online are baseless," said Cassypool.

Sofire also added her voice by saying they have never been involved romantically, calling on netizens to stop spreading rumours.

"Don't listen, look, don't focus on rumours, has Moya David ever shared that we are in a relationship? Neither have I. And normally I don't respond to rumours.

"As long as we have not come out to say we are dating, treat that as a rumour," she said.

Moya had earlier been accused of being financed by Sofire as word went round that the car he was driving was repossessed by the well-connected events organizer.

Through his Instagram page, Moya said he was unfazed by the allegations, adding that there was nothing to clarify.

"I aint clearing any rumours unless they say i drink ... there is absolutely nothing to clear or talk about. Rumours will remain to be rumours. Haya ni maajabu," Moya wrote.

Content shift

In a separate interview with Eve Mungai last month, Moya addressed speculations surrounding his shift in video content, specifically the reduction in videos featuring surprises for Mama Mbogas (market traders) and the less fortunate.

While it was a common occurrence during the early stages of his content creation journey, many have noticed a decrease in such videos, leading to assumptions that Moya has shifted his focus to his businesses.

However, he denied these claims, asserting that some individuals lack authenticity in their assessments. He said that he currently runs his own foundation, dedicated to assisting those in need in society.
