Why prostitute walked naked on the streets

A prostitute believed to be among a cartel of women stealing from male motorists caused a stir when she stripped and walked in the CBD naked.

Shocked city residents who were arriving into the CBD on Tuesday for work after the long weekend were treated to the uncensored drama along Wabera Street.

Fellow sex workers suspected that their colleague may have been bewitched by men who fell victim to her schemes. But as the woman talked, she seemed to have been scammed by a customer who acquired her services and escaped without paying for them.

The woman roamed the street naked in the chilly weather as some women attempted to cover her but she refused.

Female security guards near a popular restaurant tried in vain to cover her with a leso but she flatly refused it.

“Niwacheni nitembee hivi nikutane na huyo mbaba atajua mimi ni nani; na lazima anipe hela zangu (leave me alone to walk like this and face that man; he will know who I am and he must pay me my money,” said the woman.

A few months ago, a sex worker was presented at a Milimani court for stealing valuables worth Sh347,000 from an official from the Ministry of Sports.

She allegedly committed the offence on April 9, 2022, along Koinange Street in Nairobi jointly with others not before court when she stole one black backpack bag, HP spectra laptop, and two mobile phones.

In May this year, two sex workers plying their trade along Kenyatta Avenue were reported to have engaged in a bitter fight over the share of free money given to them by a man.

The money had been given to them by a “good Samaritan” and one of the ladies tried to shortchange the other.
