Ruto leads Kenya Kwanza meeting on Finance Bill ahead of parliamentary debate

President William Ruto is leading a Kenya Kwanza Parliamentary Group (PG) meeting at State House, Nairobi.

The meeting comes ahead of the tabling of the Finance Bill, 2024 report by the National Assembly's Finance and Planning Committee at Parliament on Tuesday, 18 June.

By 9 a.m, a host of UDA MPs were already at the venue before the arrival of the President and his deputy, Rigathi Gachagua.

Also attending the meeting is Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.

Sources at the meeting indicate that there could be some changes to major tax proposals in the Bill.

It's not yet clear if the ruling party will hold a press conference after the meeting.
