Detectives from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) have this morning raided the homes of former Treasury Cabinet Secretary Ukur Yatani, and Marsabit Governor Ali Mohamed Mohammud.

The duo, together with top former and current Marsabit County officials have been linked to a suspected multi-billion graft probe, totaling Sh8.2 billion.

Sources intimated to The Standard that Yatani is expected at the EACC Integrity Centre Police Station over the alleged graft scandal.

Marsabit Governor Mohamed Ali and several other county officials are also on the EACC radar.

"Both their homes (Yatani and Mohammud) in Nairobi and Marsabit counties were raided on Wednesday, April 24 morning and it's believed crucial documents were carted away during the raid," our source said.

Yatani served as Governor for Marsabit before being appointed to the Labour docket and later Treasury as the Cabinet Secretary, under former President Uhuru Kenyatta's regime.
