President William Ruto on Wednesday received credentials from newly posted envoys to Kenya.

The president was presented with credentials for envoys from Mexico, Serbia, Thailand, San Marino, and Eswatini at the State House, Nairobi.

They include Enrique Javier Ochoa Martinez (Mexico), Danijela Cubrilo Martic (Serbia), Morakot Janemathukorn (Thailand), Giovanni Conti (San Marino) and Mahlaba Mamba (Eswatini).

The Head of State said that the cooperation with foreigners through the diplomats would "effectively promote climate-resilient development, peace and security and eradicate cross-boundary conflicts, thereby facilitating more international trade and investment."

In December 2023, Ruto received credentials for 11 other envoys including Ibra Hussain Khan (Pakistan), Mohammed bin Mutair Ammash Al-Shamlani Al-Enazi (Qatar), Bernard Yohana Kibesse (Tanzania), Nasra Salim Mohamed Al Hashmi (Oman), Jibril Ibrahim Abdulle (Somalia), Ali Gholampour (Iran) and Jenny Da Rin (Australia).

Additional non-resident ambassadors who also presented their documents were Barlybay Sadykov (Kazakhstan), Daniel Schear (Estonia), Ignacio de Cossio Perez de Mendoza (El Salvador), and Fidelia Graand-Galon (Suriname).

He also received credentials from Romania's Ambassador to Kenya Gentiana Serbu in November 2023.
