The Ministry of Interior and National Administration has selected 30 administrators to enhance workflow with the National Government Administrative Officers (NGAOs).

In a statement on Tuesday, September 26, Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo stated that the administrators will ensure the inclusion of socio-economic empowerment among the locals.

Omollo stated that the plan is to come up with transformative programmes to touch every life in society by creating opportunities.

"In light of the above, we have set about cementing the position of the NGAOs as the driving force behind these strategic interventions and to forge an environment where every single mwananchi will not only thrive but also contribute meaningfully to our collective prosperity," the PS noted.

He added that the programme shall transform service delivery and maximize the ministry's target on work.

The Ministry has further proposed a reorientation programme for the officers aiming at ensuring effective and responsive services at all levels.

"To kick start the process, we have launched a training for thirty (30) Trainers of Trainers (ToTs), who will be taken through the organization and functions of government; security, peace, and safety for citizens; and most importantly, public participation, engagement, and communication," he added.

There will also be training on climate change, employee wellness, and psychosocial support for Deputy County Commissioners (DCCs) who were selected on merit.

PS Omollo stated that the Interior ministry aims to ensure that the administrators have effective interaction with locals by understanding their needs and concerns.
