Empty streets, clear roads, closed businesses and little to no activity are what some parts of the country woke up to on Wednesday, July 19.

The day has started slowly as the country gears up to host protests against the government which are being led by the Azimio coalition.

In Nakuru police were forced to fire teargas at a group of protesters who were getting ready to take to the streets in Sharable estate.

In Kisii the streets which are normally full of activities had few people but a heavy deployment of police.

In Migori County two people were hospitalized at the Oruba Nursing Home after they were shot with rubber bullets on Wednesday morning.
