Standoff between police and Azimio protestors who were set to match into CBD.

There is a standoff outside Serena Hotel, Nairobi where police are engaging Azimio la Umoja coalition leaders who wanted to match out of the hotel after being holed up for the better part of the day.

As of 2:46pm, police were seen lobbying teargas to a convoy of the opposition leaders led by ODM leader Raila Odinga.

The leaders wanted to match into CBD before being blocked by heavily armed police officers.

Raila was to address the press Monday afternoon at the same venue.
