The Law Society of Kenya (LSK) has called for speedy investigations into the death of a missing Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) official, whose body was found in Amboseli Park, Kajiado County.

Daniel Mbolu Musyoka, 53, who went missing on Thursday, August 11 was the Embakasi East Returning Officer.

He was identified at a local morgue in Loitokitok sub-mortuary by his sisters, Mary Mwikali and Ann Mboya.

At a briefing on Tuesday, August 16, LSK President Peter Theuri stated that the society was deeply concerned about Mbolu's death and urged Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai to act quickly and bring the perpetrators to book.

"It is very sad that this officer [Musyoka] appears to have died in circumstances that indicate he died while performing his duties to the country." As a society, we are deeply concerned and determined to work with the investigating agencies to ensure that justice is served," he stated.
