Public Service Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku has urged all public servants to wear Harambee Stars jersey hroughout the month of August in support of the national team as Kenya host CHAN 2024.

Ruku was speaking ahead of the match played between Harambee Stars and DR Congo on Sunday evening at Kasarani Stadium.

"So that we may be able to support our national team- Harambee Stars, I urge all public servantcs across the republic of kenya to support our team. We can support them for this month of August if we can be able to wear the Harambee Stars jersey in our offices throughout this August," said Ruku.

He urged those able to afford the jersey to put them on except the discipline forces including the police and military.

"Your are free to wear the jersey to support our team upto the finals, because we must be patriotic," he added.

His remarks later followed the grand opening match where Kenya scored 1-0 against DR Congo's Leopard.
