Kenya Sevens fell to South Africa at the quarterfinals of the Singapore Sevens on Sunday morning after making impressive performances in the preliminary.

Kenyans opened the tournament with a slim 19-28 loss to England before going on a two game winning streak, which saw them beat France 34-0 before humbling USA 33-14 in the following match.

Shujaa Sevens would then book a slot in the quarterfinals of the tournament against their closest fellows South Africans. A loss to South Africans implies that Kenyans will now lock horns with New Zealand at 11.am this morning to battle it out for the fifth place semis.
