Young Kenyan player set for major break-through in European rugby

Teenage rugby player Samuel Imbwaga might soon be playing for European rugby giants Luxembourg.

The 17 Year old who hails from Ngong Town in Kajiado County travelled to Luxembourg in February this year, on a three months trip facilitated by Nondescripts Rugby Club and Danny Ligairi.

“Samuel Imbwaga is a hardworking and disciplined young man who earned the invitation on merit. The three-month stay will see him train with top European rugby Club Luxembourg which participates in the national Belgian rugby union competition,” read part of a statement from the Nairobi based Nondescripts Rugby Club.

Imbwaga who is a Nondescripts player was selected as part of a project that was initiated to support young rugby players for a three-month educational and cultural tour in Luxembourg.

Nondescript which is one of the oldest rugby club in Kenya, formed in 1923 partnered with British film actor Danny Ligairi, a former Professional athlete and coach, to make sure Imbwaga’s dream come true.

Imbwaga will also have an opportunity to study at the prestigious Lycee Michel Lucius, one of Luxembourg’s finest learning institutions as part of the project.
