Women’s national football, Harambee Starlets head coach David Ouma says his charges are ready for the fifth edition of COTIF Women’s Football Tournament that will go down today in Valencia, Spain.

Ouma is optimistic that Starlets will post positive results following their three wins in their build-up matches.

The Spain trip is good for Starlets as they prepare for the Africa Women Cup of Nations finals to held from 19 November to 3 December in Cameroon.

“We have prepared well since we went back to camp two weeks ago and the team is ready for any challenge. This tournament will be good for us as we continue with the Cup of Nations preparations,” Ouma said.

This year’s COTIF tournament has attracted six teams, two national teams and four clubs that have been pooled into two groups.

Starlets are in Group A with FC Benfica from Portugal and RCD Espanyol from Spain with Venezuela national team in Group B with Spain’s Real Betis and Elche CF.

Starlets will begin their campaign today against reigning champions FC Benfica and play their last preliminary match on Tuesday against RCD Espanyol.
