Ronald Koeman wants to launch his Everton revolution by signing Morgan Schneiderlin.

Manchester United midfielder Schneiderlin is high on a list of targets that the Dutch manager is considering as an exciting new era at Goodison Park is ushered in under major shareholder Farhad Moshiri.

New boss Koeman is under pressure to deliver and has identified the Toffees’ engine-room as an area for improvement.

Gareth Barry is 35 and reaching the end of a glittering career. And with Muhamed Besic, James McCarthy and Tom Cleverley all failing to convince, Koeman is determined to add proven quality.
