We all know the saying: “ When LIFE gives you lemons, make lemonade”. Ever wondered how this lemonade is made or why whoever came up with this saying did not also give us a manual on how to go about making this ‘lemonade’.

Talk about giving a pat answer. Just dishing out information mechanically without really providing a solution. How annoying is that?!

Today we tell you the story of a young man who lived as a street thug before his accidental meeting with a couple who changed the trajectory of his life

He took to the streets at the age of 12 after life became unbearable at home. He was in desperate need of a real, solid and tangible solution on how he was going to put food on the table. A pat answer would not do and he took to stealing as a means to fix his immediate problem.

I am sure if you’d met this young man during his days as a street ruffian you’d have judged him without a second thought yet he was out “making lemonade” from his lemon filled life. He was trying to survive.

In this journey we call LIFE, how often do we fail to recognise that same thing in an individual and instead rush to dish out meaningless, pointers just to make ourselves feel better.

How much better would LIFE be if we were more intentional in everything we do. How about instead of telling someone to make ‘lemonade’ you show them exactly how to do it?

Have a blessed week.
