Leicester City are set to pocket £93million in television money if they win the Premier League title.

The Foxes picked up £72million for finishing 14th last season and the majority of the extra £21million will come by virtue of the league position in which they finish.

Each Premier League club receives approximately £54million in TV money regardless of what position they finish in, with extra money coming in depending on factors such as final league position and the amount of times a team has been shown live on TV.

Each team receives £880,000 for every one of their Premier League matches which is shown live on television.

Claudio Ranieri's side have had 16 matches broadcast across Sky and BT Sport this season, leaving them with an income of around £14million - £5.2million more than they received last season when just 10 of their games were shown live.

They received £8.7million for finishing 14th last season, an amount which is set to rocket to £25million this time round if they win the league, which they are expected to comfortably do.

Leicester will also receive a huge financial boost by virtue of qualifying for next season's Champions League.

Merely by appearing the competition's groups stages they will collect £30million in prize money and TV money.

Their status as Premier League champions will also open new doors for sponsorship contracts and put them in a far stronger position when renegotiating current deals.
