David De Gea would have been paid €11.8million (£9.1million) a year at Real Madrid, according to a documents posted online by Football Leaks.

The Spain No.1's move from Manchester United to the Spanish capital looked to be complete on the last day of the summer transfer window before a late collapse.

Paperwork for the deal was not completed in time, with both clubs blaming each other for the failure to complete the transfer.

But now details of the contract De Gea would have had, if the deal had gone through, have been leaked online.

The 25-year-old was due to pick up around £175,000 a week, plus bonuses, until June 30 2021.

De Gea would also have received a signing-on fee of €10.9m (£8.44m), which was due to be paid in January 2016.

In total, De Gea stood to earn more than £66m from the duration of the contract.

The leaked documents also show Real Madrid had applied to register De Gea for their league squad.
