Leicester City star Jamie Vardy found the back of the net with a superb goal in England’s 1-1 draw with Italy in an international friendly on Tuesday night.

The England star's goal was assisted by Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard, who took a quick free-kick in the first of the match.

However, according to the Mirror, it was not just his goal that caught the eye at Wembley but also the boots he chose to use in the match. Most of the fans would noticed that the 31-year-old was not wearing any regular boots but Cristiano Ronaldo branded CR7 ones.

Reports from the Daily Mail indicated that Vardy chose to use the CR7 boots because he had a disagreement with Nike, who are his boot sponsors after he broke his pair in Leicester City’s defeat to Everton on January 31.

Vardy was offered a new design by Nike but he didn’t like them compelling him to buy his own Nike footwear instead and thus the CR7 pair he used in the friendly.

Being that his contract with Nike is set to expire this summer, he will most likely continue using the CR7 ones before he renews the contract or look for another sponsors.
