Chelsea Coach Antonio Conte will embark on a campaign to get his side to qualify by topping group C as they seek to consolidate their grip on ‘simpler tie’ in round 16.

At his press conference before playing against Newcastle on Saturday at Stamford Bridge, Conte said that his team must prepare for a possiboility of being drawn against stronger sides such as Bayern Munich. Juventus or even Spanish Champions Real Madrid. This even, the Italian will be working to evade the possibility of landing a tough tie in the necxt round which is elimination stage.

Meanwhile, Chelsea’s squad that will face Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night at Stamford Bridge has been leaked.

David Luiz will be absent once more when Chelsea play Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

Luiz - like forward Charly Musonda - has a knee problem as Blues boss Antonio Conte aims to balance targeting a victory to top Group C with preparations for Saturday's trip to West Ham.

Striker Michy Batshuayi was an unused substitute for the win over Newcastle, so could feature.

Conte said: "Atletico are always a strong team, before and now. They are in a good moment of form, but it’s the same for us.

"The only difference is that the final result for them is very important, and for us we have already qualified, but at the same time a great team has to play every game to try to win."
