Mega-moneyed Chinese soccer bosses want to make a record-breaking signing of Manchester United playmaker Wayne Rooney with an offer of a staggering £1 Million a week making him the best paid footballer in the world.

The Manchester United captain who broke the club’s record yesterday scoring his 250th goal is being sort after by teams from the far-east with a package worth up to £60 million a year.

Wayne Rooney seems to be happy at Manchester United but the sensational Chinese financial offer doubles his current £300,000-a-week wages at Old Trafford.

Sources in China say they understand United may not stand in the way of Rooney leaving in the summer thus inspiring their efforts to sign him.
