How to prepare Chelsea buns

  When I tried this didn't know it could taste so nice, actually it needs accurate measures and make sure you follow the correct procedure. It can turn out as a surprise for the family in the morning or even for  a bed breakfast for your loved ones. Ingredients - Wheat flour or self raising
- Caster sugar
- Yeast
- Milk or Water
- Eggs
- Butter or margarine
- Sultanas
  Method
1. Take the basic bun dough and roll out into a rectangle 30cm by 10cm.
2. Brush with melted margarine or butter.
3. Sprinkle liberally with caster sugar.
4. Sprinkle with 25g currants, 25g sultanas and 25g chopped peel.
5. Roll up like a Swiss roll, brush with melted margarine or butter.
6. Cut into 8 slices across the roll, 3cm wide.
7. Place on a greased baking tray with deep sides. Cover and allow to prove.
8. Bake in a hot oven at 220c for 15 - 20 minutes.
9. Brush liberally with bun wash immediately after baking.
  How to prepare the bun wash Ingredients:
- Sugar
- Water or milk
Procedure:
1.Boil the ingredients together until the consistency of a thick syrup.
2. Use as required.
Bun dough can make Chelsea buns, hot cross buns and bath buns. Try this while at home to improve your bakery skills and cookery skills to change the family menus and breakfast.
