Juan Mata and Memphis Depay are both at risk of the axe as Jose Mourinho begins to cull his squad ahead of the new season.

Guillermo Varela became the first senior player to be shipped out by Mourinho as he joined Frankfurt on a loan deal on Friday.

Mourinho is set to sanction further departures and the Daily Mail say Mata and Depay are two more players most likely to be jettisoned.

It is claimed Marcos Rojo and Matteo Darmian will also be transfer listed, while Adnan Januzaj and Ashley Young face uncertain futures.
