The best part about drinking is the fun times. A little liquor can help you to loosen up and enjoy some stress-free moments after a busy week.

The problem comes in when it's time to deal with the hangover. Some hangovers are so bad you promise yourself 'never to drink again', which as we all know, never happens.

So if you're looking for a way you can drink in peace and have a smoother hangover experience, this is what you can do:

  • Eat before you drink

The steps you take before drinking can make a big difference. It might be tempting to ignore the need to eat before heading out for a night of fun but, that could lead to a severe hangover the next day.

An empty stomach can also affect how well you're spacing yourself because the alcohol gets absorbed into your bloodstream much faster-another hangover disaster waiting to happen.

In short, drinking heavily on a completely empty stomach is a big mistake.

  • Hydrate

Alcohol usually makes us dehydrated. That dehydration can give you a headache and add to the other hangover symptoms you're experiencing.

The best hydration choices to go for are either plain old water or coconut water which can help rehydrate and replenish. You can try some ginger tea, which is often a top hangover reliever.

Also, as a preventative measure while you party, alternate between water and your drinks.

  • Get some rest

Only pros can manage to carry on with their day with only a few hours of sleep after partying. For most though, fatigue and sleep deprivation will make it hard to function properly.

Ensure before you go drinking, the next day is your day off.

  • Take a break from drinking

An old trick that people have used to reduce the symptoms of a hangover is drinking more alcohol. This is a common thing that still happens and it might actually be a solution for some.

However, this remedy doesn't work for everyone. It might temporarily fix the situation but eventually prolongs the impending hangover.

What you need is plenty of fluids and rest.

  • Try a pain reliever

Hangovers often come with a pounding headache that doesn't easily go away on its own. This can slow you down when you have things you need to take care of, so the best option might be to take a painkiller.

You can also learn to drink moderately.
