Western Jaguars move top of KHU Premier League

Western Jaguars moved top of the Kenya Hockey Union (KHU) women's Premier League after thrashing Sikh Union 3-1 on Saturday at City Park Stadium in Nairobi.

Bethuel Masambu, Oscar Kibet and Conrad Wafula scored for Jaguars who stretched their unbeaten run to six matches (five wins and one draw).

Jaguars sit top of the 10-team standings with 16 points, two ahead of Kenya Police who have played a game more.

The Kakamega based hockey outfit kicked off their season with a 2-2 draw before edging out USIU 2-0, KCA University 2-0, Wazalendo 4-1 and Strathmore Gladiators 3-0.

Defending champions Butali Sugar Warriors who defeated Kenya Police 3-1 last Thursday are third with 12 points after six matches. They have won three matches and drawn three matches.

Jaguars will take on Greensharks today (Sunday) as KCA University takes on Sailors.
