Manchester United goalkeeper Joel Pereira is reportedly set to join Huddersfield Town on loan, while manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made a decision about Dean Henderson's future.

Pereira, 24, spent last season with Scottish Premiership side Hearts and Solskjaer wants him to continue his development with regular football.

And the Terriers are keen on the move as they look to add two new goalkeepers to their squad this summer.

The decision to let Pereira leave Old Trafford in search of minutes comes as Dean Henderson looks set to stay at United and challenge David de Gea for No1 status, reports The Sun.

Henderson has spent the last two campaigns on loan with Sheffield United and his impressive form earned him a call up to the England squad last October.

The 23-year-old signed a new £60,000-a-week deal last year but is on the verge of a new lucrative, long-term contract which could be worth £100,000-a-week and have the option to extend by another 12 months.

Henderson confirmed he would not be re-joining the Blades on loan for the coming season last week and looks set to surpass Lee Grant and Sergio Romero in United's goalkeeping pecking order.

Chelsea are reportedly interested in Henderson but him signing a new deal with the Red Devils would likely end their interest.

The United academy product is hopeful he can overtake De Gea as Solskjaer's first choice after the Spaniard made a string of high-profile blunders last season.

Earlier this month, Solskjaer admitted he had a "difficult decision" to make over who to start in goal, saying: "I think I must be the most privileged manager in the world with the goalkeeping department.

"Sergio, David and Dean. Three top 'keepers. This season has shown how important Sergio has been for us. David has been performing there.

"We'll see what we'll do going forward. Difficult? Yes. But that's a good problem to have."
