Lionel Messi is a genius. Anyone who has every watched Barcelona's little magician dazzling defenders knows it.

However, it seems the Argentinian's genius is not just limited to his skills on the football pitch - it extends to his abilities as a husband.

Messi married his childhood sweetheart, Antonella Roccuzzo, this weekend. In his hometown of Rosario, a host of footballing greats past and present - including Xavi Hernandez, Carles Puyol, Cesc Fabregas and Sergio Aguero - gathered to celebrate the marriage of the multiple Ballon d'Or winner to the mother of his two children.

And we can now confirm Messi is ALREADY a better husband than the rest of us.

As many forgetful married men have found to their cost, failing to remember the date of your wedding anniversary can cause serious problems in later life… which is what makes this wedding day move by Messi so inspired.

As you can clearly see, they have both had the Roman numerals XXX-VI-XVII tattooed onto their ring fingers. For those of you who don't count in Latin, that stands for 30-6-17 - the date of their wedding.

All of which means that, in future years, Messi will simply need to look at his hands to be reminded of any upcoming anniversaries.

Para siempre??
