Mesut Ozil has reportedly signed a new mega-contract at Arsenal which will see him wear his favoured number 10 shirt, according to reports.

Ozil will be handed the number 10 jersey after Jack Wilshere left for Bournemouth on a season-long loan.

The superstar’s future had been in doubt with after delaying talks to extend his deal which expired in the summer of 2018.

But according to German publication Bild, Ozil has ended the rumours by penning a lucrative long-term contract although it is unclear how long for. The paper’s journalist, Henning Feint, tweeted: “Mesut [Ozil] gets a new mega contract with Arsenal.

“It states he will now wear the number 10 instead of 11.”

During the Chelsea showdown, Arsenal were outstanding in all areas - but Sanchez and Ozil provided the final flourishes with the sort of class that makes them central figures in all Wenger is trying to achieve this season. The game ended 3-0 in favour of Arsenal.
