Explosions were set off inside the ground, but only to shoot a scene from upcoming film 'Final Score', meaning the stadium is still very much standing.

This is remarkable considering the sheer size of the bang however - and the amount of smoke that billows out of it - as you can see in the above video.

Prepare to cringe West Ham fans as this is the moment the famous Boleyn Ground is blown to absolute smirthereens.

Or is it? Well no, not exactly.

Explosions were set off inside the ground, but only to shoot a scene from upcoming film 'Final Score', meaning the stadium is still very much standing.

This is remarkable considering the sheer size of the bang however - and the amount of smoke that billows out of it - as you can see in the above video.

'Final Score' is centred around a football stadium where thousands of fans are held hostage by terrorists - we're guessing the ending won't be particularly happy.

The film will star former James Bond Pierce Brosnan along with Dave Bautista , who played the villain in Spectre.

The use of the Boleyn Ground for filming was reportedly secured by the Highland Film Group before it was later handed over to property developers Galliard Homes.

Since the explosions, a number of pictures have emerged on social media capturing the amount of damage the stadium sustained.

They only show that some of the seats have been destroyed but they will be hard to look at for Hammers fans none the less - just like the video.
