Mesut Ozil

Manchester City are reportedly considering a shock swoop for Gunners' star Mesut Ozil.

The German has endured a frustrating spell at the Emirates since his big-money arrival from Real Madrid - with Arsenal said to be considering cashing in.

And according to Fichajes, City boss Manuel Pellegrini has asked the club to snap him up.

With Yaya Toure seemingly heading for the exit, the Chilean wants to bring in reinforcements and believes he can tempt Ozil to the Etihad.

The midfielder is currently sidelined with a knee injury sustained in the defeat to Chelsea.
