Jack Wilshere pictured smoking; risks the wrath of Arsene Wenger

Jack Wilshere has been caught on camera smoking - AGAIN.

The Arsenal midfielder has been pictured with cigarettes before and received a very public dressing down from boss Arsene Wenger.

But the 22-year-old has risked the wrath of the Gunners chief after being snapped taking a puff while holidaying in Las Vegas with England teammate Joe Hart.

When Wilshere was caught before, back in November, Wenger was adamant in his condemnation of his actions.

"I disagree completely with that behaviour," the Frenchman said at the time. "I don't know really what happened, I will need to have a chat with him about that.

"There are two things: first of all when you are a football player you are an example and as well you don't do what damages your health.

"The fact [is] that you can damage your health at home, you can smoke at home and you can drink at home, and nobody sees it, but when you go out socially you as well damage your reputation as an example."

Wilshere strongly denied that particular incident suggesting that he didn't even smoke and was merely holding the cigarette in question.

After that previous incident in November a spokesman told the Sun: "Jack was with team-mates and friends. One dared Jack, who does not smoke, to momentarily hold the cigarette as part of a prank.

"Jack absolutely didn't smoke the cigarette, and nor does he condone smoking. Jack is utterly committed to fitness and a healthy lifestyle.

"In no way is this picture an accurate reflection of his attitude towards smoking."

But this latest controversy is likely to call into question Wilshere's attitude once more.

Former Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway was critical of the way he carried himself at the recent World Cup.

"He [Wilshere] seemed to take Roy Hodgson’s decision [to substitute him] as a personal insult," he said.

"If that wasn’t bad enough, he then gave a post-match interview in which he said how hard it had been to motivate himself for the final game of England’s World Cup because he hadn’t started against either Italy or Uruguay and our fate had already been decided."

"I couldn’t believe it. Who the hell does this kid think he is?"
