Barcelona stars were reportedly involved in a furious bust-up with manager Quique Setien following Saturday's 2-2 draw with Celta Vigo.

The Catalan giants twice threw away their lead against the relegation-threatened side to draw 2-2, enabling Real Madrid to leapfrog them at the top of La Liga.

After the match players reportedly criticised Setien's tactics.

According to Marca, the Barcelona stars were unhappy with two of the substitutions the 61-year-old made during the match.

The first of these was Setien's decision to take off Luis Suarez.

The former Liverpool striker had scored both of Barcelona's goals in the 2-2 draw, but was replaced by Antoine Griezmann ten minutes before the end, despite being on a hat-trick.

Setien also brought off talented young midfielder Riqui Puig for Juventus-bound Arthur Melo with four minutes of the game to play.

This further angered the Barcelona players, and Suarez was vocal in his frustration following the match.

He blamed Barcelona's coaches for the draw and the club's failure to win no more than two matches on the road in their past six outings.

"I think that's why coaches are there, to analyse those situations," said Suarez, when asked why Barca had dropped more points away from home.

"We're there to do our best on the pitch. Away from home, we're dropping important points that we didn't usually drop in other seasons."

This frustration spilled into the changing room, with some Barcelona players reportedly slamming Setien tactics in the draw.
