Cristiano Ronaldo was forced to abandon his £260,000 Lamborghini Aventador and head to hospital – because wrist pain left him unable to drive, according to the Sun.

Ronaldo was heading home from a ski trip with girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez when he was forced to pull over and hop in an ambulance.

According to Spanish website Informalia, sudden wrist pain forced Ronaldo into parking the supercar on a roundabout.

Police and roadside assistance were immediately notified before the Real Madrid striker was taken away in an ambulance.

There has been no word from either Cristiano Ronaldo or Real Madrid, while the police and ambulance service have not yet commented either.

Ronaldo wore heavy strapping on his right wrist in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Malaga at the Bernabeu.
