Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly split with his partner of four years, Irina Shayk - with the model confirming the news by unfollowing him on Twitter.

Rumours of a break-up swirled earlier this week when the Russian model missed the Ballon d'Or ceremony to see Ronaldo pick up his second successive Ballon d'Or trophy.

Ronaldo also failed to thank the Russian in his acceptance speech after winning the Ballon d’Or award, while, according to the Daily Mail, Irina has been sunning herself on the beach over the past week.

The duo have been together for the past four years, but it is understood that Shayk, who reportedly recently fell out with Ronaldo's mother, has called off their relationship for reasons that are currently unknown.
