The best of Kenya amateur golf was on display as the 76th edition of the Limuru Open ended at the little Augusta, Limuru Country Club layout last Sunday.

As attested by the handicap limit of 6.1, for the 154 elite amateurs who took to the course for the 54-hole challenge as they battled for a share of the Shs 500,000 prize fund courtesy of NCBA, Brakenhurst Hotels and Mit Vidda Homes.

Despite the biting cold, which saw play being suspended for two hours to allow for the fog to clear.

Regardless of the challenges, John Lejirma secured his sixth back-to-back victory with a score of 4-under-par 72, 73, 67 (212) to win Sh92,480 prize money.
