Central and Eastern Regions prepare for annual Inter-County Golf Tournament at Thika Greens

Golfers in Central and Eastern regions are gearing up for the annual Inter-County Golf series, which will be held at Thika Greens Golf Resort next month.

The tournament which will be held on April 13 and has attracted players from the Central and Eastern regions has received a huge financial boost worth Sh1 million from title sponsors Co-operative Bank.

Co-operative Bank's Head of Executive Banking, Mr. Fredrick Okello, presented a Kshs 1 million sponsorship to Thika Greens' Chief Finance Officer, Ms. Catherine Kioi, as preparations for the tournament began in earnest.

"We are solidifying our partnership with Thika Greens as we look forward to an exciting inter-counties golf tournament next month. We are proud to be associated with this event," said Co-operative Bank's Head of Executive Banking Fredrick Okello

According to Thika Greens Captain Henry Kinyua, the event will attract golf enthusiasts from across the country.

Head of Marketing at Corporate Masters, the event organisers, Martin Kinyua said preparations for the tournament are progressing well to ensure that the participants have the best experience.

"This event is seen as a perfect opportunity for bonding and networking, attracting over 200 golfers with a representation of at least 15 golfers per county," said Kinyua.

The Inter-County Golf series was established in 2019 as a way of promoting collaboration among counties.

The series has gained popularity within the golfing community, being marked as an annual event participated in by corporate, government and SME representatives, as well as individual and senior executives from across the country.
