Double blessing for Navinder at Nyali Club

Home Club's Lady Golfer Navinder Kaur went home a happy Mum after winning two prizes in a single tournament played at the par 71 Nyali Golf and Country Club Course in Mombasa County on Saturday.

Kaur playing off handicap 41 carded 67 nett to claim the Pendant Prize and the C Division winner in the Ladies Section during the August Pendant Competition.

"This has been my good day registering a double win after many years. I still continue working and shaping on my swings while also practicing on my putting on the greens.Well the future looks bright, "said Kaur.

In the Ladies side, the Club's former Lady Captain handicap 12 Mary Kandu was no joke winning the Gross title on 82 gross and also claiming the Division A prize on 70 nett

But home Club's Veteran Youthful Golfer Kaguta playing off handicap 1 carded an excellent level par 71 gross to emerge the Gross winner in the Men side during the event supported by the Club.

The Division A Mug winner's prize for Men was claimed by handicap 8 Omar Lewa on a count back score of 69 nett after tying on the same score with second placed handicap 12 Martin Wahome and taking the third slot on 70 nett was handicap 12 Vishnu Dhutia.

Senior Golfer Johnson Wamunyua playing off handicap 16 carded 67 nett to win the B Division and handicap 14 Lumatete Muchai with 74 nett while handicap 14 Clemence Agina on 75 nett were the runners up and third respectively.

The C Division was won on a count back score of 69 nett by handicap 21 Tom Soigwa , tying on the same score with handicap 22 Rimal Shah and handicap 21 Joseph Kaguru was third having finished on 70 nett.

Jabess Mdhai playing off handicap 30 won the D Division category with 63 nett and handicap 32 Kasim Sawa brought 69 nett to claim the runners up slot.

The Guest prize on 66 nett and the Best Caddy with 72 nett were scooped by handicap 24 Paul Kiboi and handicap 4 kalamu Choyo respectively.

In the Ladies side, handicap 17 Zaituni Mohamed on 73 nett and the Club Lady Captain handicap 17 Mary Mariga were the runners up and third placed respectively.

The B division was won by handicap 28 Hellen Wanjiru who brought a score of 69 nett ahead of handicap 32 Rose Kinyanjui on 72 nett and taking the third slot on 74 nett was handicap 22 Hilda Mugure.

Mercy Kairu playing off handicap 41 was the Guest winner with 72 nett while handicap 16 Redemtha Wayua on 72 nett and Terry Odoo on 28 putts were the Best Lady Caddy and Best Putter respectively.
