Isaack Kariuki is the 2022 Sigona Golf Club Chairman's Prize champion.

Kariuki amassed an aggregate of 71 stableford points in the two-day tournament to beat a large field who searched for glory in the high profile event.

Playing off handicap 18, the IT expert fired 38 points on Saturday and a further 33 on Sunday that led to his crowning.

"This is fantastic. I had set out this year to lower my handicap which stood at 25 in January. I'm happy this is gradually happening," Kariuki said.

The father of three admitted that there have been challenges as he aims at achieving his target in the game this year but he is glad to be on the right direction.

"I have been working round the clock to ensure the goals are met, so this victory marks a significant turning point."

"For me to come out as the overall winner is a reinforcement that it can be done. I would like to communicate the same to anyone doing a positive thing out there that it is achievable," he said.

Kariuki described the Chairman's Prize as a tough, challenging, engaging but a very exciting tournament.
