Fahmy Bajaber beat a team of 186 golfers to lift this year's DTB "Bank with us" golf tournament played at the par 71 Nyali Golf and Country Club Course in Mombasa County on Saturday.

Playing off handicap 13 the youthful Bajaber returned a compact excellent score of 44 stableford points to emerge the overall winner in the day long 18 holes tournment sponsored by Diamond Trust Bank.

Bajaber's win came after playing 21 points in the front before adding 23 points in the final back nines to take the day's lead.

"This has been an excellent day sharing lots of fun with my partners and encouraging ourselves. The course was playing nice today and most of my shots were going through the fairways to the greens and I am really excited for this victory," Bajaber said.

The club's former chairman Dinesh Sasan playing off handicap 13 was the Men winner on a countback score of 41 points.

The High Handicappers category for men was won by handicap 36 Shay Chauhan on 42 points.
