An eleven year-old Junior Lady golfer Mumbi Gatu braved cold weather on Saturday to emerge the overall winner of the Limuru Country Club’s leg of the ongoing 2021 NCBA Golf Series in Limuru.

The handicap 50 Mumbi carded an impressive round of 49 stable ford points to win the overall trophy. She becomes the second junior golfer to claim the overall winner’s spot in the series.

This is after a twelve-year old Nathan Mwangi recently claimed the overall trophy at the Karen Country Club.

Mumbi now becomes the series’ 13th overall winner and books a slot, together with the other top four finishers from the Limuru event, to play at the upcoming grand finale slated for December at Karen Golf Club Course.

She finished the round ten points clear of her nearest challenger, Zero handicap Dennis Maara, who ended the day with a count back score of 39 points to claim the winner’s slot in the men’s category after tying  on the same score with handicap 15 Ken Anunda.

Handicap 24 Grace Kimeria garnered 38 points to win the ladies’ title while handicap 31 Priscilla Waithaka finished second with 36 points.

Steve Okello playing off handicap 19 won the first nine on 23 points and the same for the second nine was won by handicap Ng’anga Mathu with 20 points.
