Record Kenyan champions Gor Mahia returned to winning ways after scoring deep into stoppage time to secure a much needed 2-1 win over Posta Rangers in a FKF Premier League match played at Dandora Stadium on Saturday

Alphonce Omija and Gedeon Bendeka were on target for K'Ogalo who now trail joint leaders Tusker and Kenya Police with five points after 18 matches.

The two sides played out to a barren first half. It took 72 minutes for either side to score with Gor Mahia first to break the deadlock.

Paul Ochuoga delivered a beautiful cross to Shariff Musa whose attempt was blocked but the ball found Bendeka unmarked to score for 1-0 lead.

The victors took 10 minutes to equalise but Gor were not done as Omija scored in the eighth minute of added time to seal the win for Gor.

K'Ogalo remained third with 31 points as Tusker and Police are top with 36 points each.

In Mumias, Kakamega Homeboyz stretched their recent unbeaten run to nine games after edging out Mara Sugar 2-0 at Mumias Sports Complex.

Harambee Stars forward Moses Shumah opened the scoring for Abana Ba Ingo in the seventh minute from the penalty spot.

Estone Esiye doubled the lead in the 26th minute with a stunning strike, sealing Homeboyz's third win in four matches since the start of the year.

For Mara Sugar, the defeat was a major setback following their 1-0 loss to Kenya Police last weekend.

The millers now have just one win in their last five games, leaving them on 22 points. Meanwhile, Homeboyz moved up to eighth with 26 points after securing their sixth win of the season.

In Machakos, Talanta and Mathare United played out to a 1-1 draw at Kenyatta Stadium.

Talanta took the lead in the 58th minute through an own goal, but Mathare's Stephen Okola equalised four minutes later.

The result leaves Talanta in 15th place with 18 points, while Mathare sit 13th with 21 points after 19 league matches.
