Relegation threatened FC Talanta registered their first ever win over AFC Leopards after thrashing Ingwe 4-2 in a six-goal thriller match played at Dandora Stadium on Saturday.
Leopards headed into the match with a flawless record against Talanta, having never lost in six previous meetings-winning three times and drawing thrice.
Additionally, they were unbeaten in their last five outings, boasting impressive wins over Bandari (2-0), defending champions Tusker (4-1), and Kenya Police (1-0). They also picked up valuable draws against Kakamega Homeboyz (1-1) and Sofapaka (1-1).
However, Talanta who had lost their last three consecutive matches and no wins in their last four games had other ideas at Dandora.
Despite trailing after 12 minutes when Bonface Munyendo gave Leopards the lead in the 12th minute, Talanta were confident as they restored parity almost immediately through Kevin Odongo for 1-1.

With the tide changing, Talanta took the lead in the 19th minute through Brian Kipruto and surge 2-1 ahead.
In the final half, Emmanuel Osoro scored a controversial third goal for Talanta that will get fans talking for ages after robbing Ingwe keeper before pushing the ball across the line with his butt.
Leading 3-1, Kipruto put the nail to the coffin with his brace, extending Talanta's lead to 4-1.
Maxwell Otieno netted Ingwe's consolation as they lost 4-2.
The win pushed Talanta to 15th and off the relegation zone momentarily with Posta Rangers and Nairobi City Stars who are below them set to play on Sunday.
