Ulinzi Stars moved four points clear off the relegation zone after narrowly seeing off Mara Sugar 1-0 in a tight FKF Premier League match played at Dandora Stadium on Sunday.

Staphod Odhiambo emerged the hero after converting a pass from substitute Boniface Muchiri to seal maximum points for the soldiers in the 76th minute.

The win lifted Ulinzi to joint 11th with 19 points, four clear from the danger zone.

The soldiers are tied alongside Mara Sugar, Kariobangi Sharks, and Kakamega Homeboyz.

In other matches, Kariobangi Sharks were held to a 0-0 draw by Mathare United, with a similar scoreline witnessed in the match pitting Bidco United and Murang'a SEAL.

With the draws, each team collected a point with Bidco the biggest losers as the draw derailed their bid to move out of the danger zone.

With the point, Bidco remained 16th with 15 points, one point off the bottom two.

They currently occupy the relegation and promotion position.

Posta Rangers are bottom with 14 points same as FC Talanta.
