Shabana closed the gap between them and leaders KCB to within four points after coming from behind to edge out Tusker 2-1 in an entertaining FKF Premier League match played at the fully packed Gusii Stadium on Saturday in Kisii County.

Charles Momanyi gave the visitors who were seeking to move three points clear at the top of the table the perfect start when he rose high to head Tusker ahead 1-0 in the 11th minute, converting Tom Teka's free kick for the lead.

However, Dennis Okoth ensured the two sides would head to the break level when he finished off an assist from Brian Michira to draw Shabana level at 1-1 in the 46th minute.

In the final half, Hezekiah Omuri broke Tusker's hearts when he scored in the 82nd minute to complete a 2-1 comeback win.

The win lifted Shabana to fifth in the standings with 23 points, four behind joint leaders KCB and Tusker.
