Red Bees FC will be seeking to reclaim their men's Chris Oguso football tournament title when they battle with Dallas FC in the final at Mahanga grounds, Vihiga County on Sunday.

The winners of this year's finals will take home a trophy and Sh300,000 in prize money in the men's category while the women's side will pocket Sh200,000 plus a trophy.

The former champions' journey to the final of the 14th edition of the annual tournament was not a walk in the park. Red Bees saw off FC 20 4-2 in the quarterfinals before narrowly beating Silver FC 2-1 in the semifinals.

On the other hand, Dallas trounced 11 Strikers FC 3-1 via penalties after a 2-2 draw in the regular time in the last eight. Dallas then overcame Emabungo FC 3-1 in the semis to book a final date with Red Bees.

In the women's category, Nice FC will clash with Golden Stars FC in an early kick off final match at the same venue on Sunday.

On their way to the final, Nice whitewashed Superstars FC 7-0 before labouring to beat Inavi FC 4-3 through penalties after a barren draw in normal time. Golden Stars thrashed Madiori FC 3-0 in the quarters before silencing Green Starlets FC 1-0 in the second semifinal match.

The Betika Na Community sponsored-tournament attracted 178 men's teams and 30 women's teams from all over Vihiga County. The Deputy Inspector General of Police Gilbert Masengeli will be the chief guest of this year's eagerly awaited finals.
