KCB thrash Mara Sugar 4-3 in seven-goal thriller in Murang'a

KCB survived a comeback attempt from Mara Sugar as they came from behind to see off the sugar men 4-3 in a seven-goal thriller FKF Premier League match played at SportPesa Arena in Murang'a on Saturday.

Mike Isabwa gave Mara a 1-0 lead in the 11th minute but were soon at 1-1 when James Kinyanjui restored parity for the bankers a minute after going behind.

Another golden boot hopeful Francis Kahiro netted his eighth goal of the season to give KCB a 2-1 lead in the 22nd minute.

Kinyanjui returned to haunt the sugar men immediately after the restart, scoring his brace to hand the bankers a 3-1 lead before Matthias Isogol made it 3-2 with a goal for Mara in the 52nd minute.

Patrick Otieno restored KCB's two goal advantage in the 82nd minute after handing the bankers a 4-2 lead but Mara were not yet done as a goal by Reuben Mita completed a seven-goal thriller win for KCB who finally won 4-3.

Meanwhile, Sofapaka also wrapped the year in style as they humbled Bidco United 2-0 at Dandora Stadium.

Benjamin Mosha and John Onyango were on target for Batoto ba Mungu who moved joint fifth in the standings with Gor Mahia on 21 points.
